About Wilson Law
Estate Planning, Elder Law, & Wealth Preservation
As with most attorneys, Donna L. Wilson began her career
in General Practice. It soon became evident, however, that
her background ideally suited her to a concentrated law
practice in Estate Planning with an additional focus on
clients with special needs. Donna’s commitment to
providing individualized services is what drew her to this
specialized area of the law where her background makes her
imminently qualified to assist in any special needs planning
her clients require. In order to accommodate the needs of
her current clients, she recently broadened her approach
to include Asset Protection, Legacy Preservation, and Real
Estate.
All Estate planning begins with three basic principals:
maintaining control during incapacity; expedient and cost-effective
wealth transfer at death; and legacy planning to protect
beneficiaries. Her goal is to help families plan for life,
deal with death, resolve potential conflicts, and allocate
a lasting legacy to beneficiaries. Her plans are comprehensive,
personalized, and unique to the client’s individual
circumstances.
Donna is a member of Wealth Counsel, a nationwide alliance
of estate planning attorneys. Her continuing education in
the area of estate planning and asset protection ensures
that the most up to date planning techniques are available
to her clients. She is also a member of the Virginia State
Bar, Trusts and Estates Section; the American Bar Association,
Real Property, Probate, and Trust Section; and the Virginia
Trial Lawyers Association.
Donna earned a B.S. Degree from James Madison University
in Harrisonburg, VA. She earned a M.S. in Education and
Administration and Supervision from Old Dominion University
in Norfolk, VA; and a J.D. from Regent University in Virginia
Beach, VA. She was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor
Society in the spring of 2000.
